In the Beginning

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God...
the Lamb, slain before the foundations of the world...
And the world was made by Him, and without Him was not anything made that was made...
We talk of destiny and predestination and worry over our own lot in life, but nothing we face can compare with the cross that was laid on Him. It was by His election that God made a decision about the rest of us, a decision to reach out in peace, to make a way, to give us hope.

That is man's destiny: whosoever will.
